Distribution Engineering
Electric service is essential to all residential and commercial buildings. But it is usually one of the last components to be installed during the construction process. Even so, planning the design, construction and timing of installation of electric service to your construction project should be done at the very start ? in fact, while your project is still on the drawing board.
Pepco strives to deliver the best possible customer service to all our customers. For our Customer Design engineers, this means helping you-the architect, builder or developer-create the most appropriate design for your project’s electric system while ensuring that your final design and installed equipment meet Pepco’s and local jurisdiction design, safety and performance standards.
Pepco has made available its Commercial Design Manual for many years. Now, in an effort to help customers speed their design and construction processes, we have combined our earlier Maryland and District of Columbia design manuals into a single, updated version and made it available to all users online. Customers are welcome to download and reproduce the entire manual or any portion thereof if they would find a hard copy useful.
We hope this new edition of our Commercial Design Manual will help you expedite the electrical systems portion of your design and construction processes. As always, our Customer Engineering and Design professionals are available to assist you. Please see the “Design Contacts” below for the right contact number or address where you can get the help you need.
